Neighbours lines up mystery tragedy next month as Jane Harris breaks down

 Andrew shares some bad news.

Neighbours legend Jane Harris is left devastated by a visit from the police next month. Has tragedy befallen somebody who's close to her?

The heartbreaking storyline has been revealed in a new set of spoiler pictures, which preview tough times ahead for Jane in May.

While exact details of the sad plot won't be revealed until nearer the time, we can see that Andrew Rodwell arrives on Jane's doorstep alongside a police colleague with some news to share.

As the local policeman explains all, Jane breaks down and has to be comforted by her concerned children Byron and Nicolette.

The scenes air on Tuesday 27 May and Wednesday 28 May. A short teaser spoiler for the first episode reveals that "Jane's anxiety skyrockets" amid a stressful time.

For the following episode, the synopsis says: "Jane is overwhelmed with guilt and regret."

Neighbours bosses have recently brought back Jane's mum Amanda, with Briony Behets reprising the role after a 38-year absence.

Amanda secretly moved into Eirini Rising and confided in Susan Kennedy about how she was testing her family, wanting to see how long it'd take for them to notice that she's no longer living in Sydney.

In this week's episodes, the game is up as Jane stumbles across Amanda at Eirini Rising and fumes at her for playing games.

Meanwhile, other spoiler pictures for May see Amanda make the mistake of trusting scheming doctor Darcy Tyler.

The pair are seen all alone away from Erinsborough, which could be a dangerous situation since viewers are starting to suspect that Darcy still can't be trusted.

So, could this all be connected? Stick with us in the coming weeks for the full lowdown on the storyline...
