One key Home and Away story could finally end after nearly three years
Is it really over for Lyrik?
One key Home and Away story could finally be coming to an end after nearly three years.
Since Kirby Aramoana, Eden Fowler and Remi Carter joined the Australian soap in 2022, viewers have seen the ups and downs of local band Lyrik.
In scenes set to air on Wednesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 3, things happen that might signal the end of Lyrik for good.
Justin Morgan (the band's manager) and Theo Poulos (the current lead singer who eventually joined up) steel themselves to tell Mackenzie Booth some bad news.
She's hoping that Lyrik will perform at Salt to attract customers, and at a meeting with the duo, she starts talking about setting deadlines. However, they tell her that there won't be a gig.
She's not surprised and suggests the possibility of a performance in a month or so, which causes Justin to admit that he thinks Lyrik is over. That comes as news to Theo, but Justin says he's confident he won't be proved wrong.
Later, Justin confides in Alf Stewart that he is afraid that he'll be lost if and when Lyrik breaks up.
Meanwhile, Theo admits to Mackenzie that he's not sure what he'll have left in his life after the band's end.
Justin eventually concludes that he and Theo just need to find a new passion. Theo isn't so sure, asking if they would just be wasting time throwing ideas around.
He soon proposes his idea to Leah Patterson-Baker: buy a high-performance vehicle and do it up. She instantly says no at the thought of spending thousands on a hobby, but he insists it's an "investment".
Will the band actually end, and how much conflict will Justin's new idea cause?
