Neighbours: Toadie reveals tragic death as he returns to town

Neighbours favourite Toadie Rebecchi breaks the news of a sad death next week.

Toadie heads back to Ramsay Street to announce that his father Big Kev has passed away.

The sombre scenes see Ryan Moloney reprise his role as Toadie just in time for the show's 40th anniversary episodes later this month.

Ryan bowed out as a show regular late last year, but he remained under contract to make several further guest appearances.

Ahead of Toadie's return, Paul Robinson makes his own Erinsborough comeback following a short break in New York.

Paul admits that he'd like to move back to Ramsay Street to be closer to his partner Terese Willis, rather than living away from her at the Lassiters penthouse.

The businessman also suggests holding an exhibition of Nell Rebecchi's artwork around the Lassiters complex.

Paul is impressed by the 'Story of Erinsborough' concept that Nell has been working on for a school project.

However, Nell openly doubts Paul's motives for promoting her work when she finds out that he wants to live with Terese again. She suspects that Paul is trying to worm his way into her good books, rather than genuinely appreciating her artistic talent.

Terese is relieved when bickering Paul and Nell manage to work out their latest misunderstanding, but the day takes another difficult turn when Toadie arrives back.

It's this moment that Toadie announces Kev's death, leaving Nell devastated.

Toadie revealed that Kev had cancer in November last year. This led to Nell moving back to Erinsborough, as Toadie didn't want her to have to witness her grandfather's health deteriorating. He feared that it could be triggering after the loss of Nell's mum Sonya in 2019.

Big Kev appeared in Neighbours on and off for guest appearances between 1995 and 2018, played by Don Bridges.
