Real-life Home and Away couple welcome their first child and share adorable baby photos

Congratulations are in order for Home and Away's Rebecca Breeds and Luke Mitchell who have become parents for the first time.

The soap stars have welcomed a baby boy together and took to Instagram to share their happy news with their followers, posting photos of their new arrival.

"Welcome to the world little man. Thanks for choosing us. We love you beyond words," read their joint post caption.


One photo shows a close up of the baby's head, with a further two showing his tiny fingers and feet.

Former Home and Away star Georgina Parker was one of many to react to the couple's exciting life update in the comments section of the post.

"Oh Luke, huge congratulations to you and Bec. Now the fun begins. Sending love," she wrote.

Actor Jessica McNamee, who played Lisa Duffy in Summer Bay, also shared a sweet message. "He’s here! Congratulations you two @rebeccaebreeds," she commented with three blue heart emojis.

Luke and Rebecca met on the Channel Seven soap over a decade ago, where they played Romeo Smith and Ruby Buckton respectively.

Their characters slept together in the show, but did not pursue a relationship as Romeo was dating Indigo Walker.

In 2012, Luke proposed to Rebecca with the two going on to tie the knot in January 2013.


Rebecca announced her pregnancy back in November last year, posing on the red carpet of the Adelaide Film Festival, cradling her bump.

"VERY excited to share baby Mitchell and @kangarooislandmovie coming sooooooooon! Thanks @adlfilmfest for having us and everyone who came to support us," read her Instagram post caption, sharing a photo from the event.

Since leaving Home and Away, Rebecca has starred in Pretty Little LiarsThe OriginalsLegacies and Clarice, while Mitchell has had roles in The Tomorrow PeopleAgents of SHIELD and Chicago Med.
