Home and Away character to receive $5 million windfall - but they're not happy
Remi isn't as pleased at becoming a millionaire as expected.
Home and Away's Remi Carter will get a big surprise on UK screens next week when he comes into a huge sum of money – but it turns out that he isn't too pleased about his windfall.
With Remi having been away from Summer Bay for a while visiting his parents, his girlfriend Bree Cameron is delighted when he returns home.
She asks why he headed off on the trip in the first place, and Remi replies: "It's complicated".
Frustrated Bree keeps working on him, but when she finally gets the truth from him, she's left shocked.
Remi reveals that he has now received his long-awaited trust fund, and it will pay for a lot more than the holiday in Greece that Bree was hoping for – because he now has $5 million in his bank account.
But despite the seemingly good news, Remi admits that he is uncomfortable about suddenly having so much money, telling Bree that he feels he hasn't done anything to earn the cash besides being born.
Bree, however, doesn't have too much sympathy for Remi's dilemma and simply suggests that he should find something meaningful to spend the money on.
Inspired by Bree's suggestion, Remi decides it's time to get spending, and he hosts a party for all his closest friends.
He then tells Bree that he has an announcement to make at the gathering, as he's decided what he wants to do with his newfound wealth.
What has Remi chosen to do with his new millionaire status?
