Home and Away's Cash and Rose to clash in death storyline

 Cash's return to work gets off to a bad start.

Home and Away's Cash Newman and Rose Delaney will clash at work in upcoming scenes airing in the UK, as the fallout from the death of Perri Hayes's dad continues.

The drama begins when Rose shows up for a day of work at the police station, and gets a shock when she sees Cash back behind a desk.

It is soon revealed that Cash is now back working at the Yabbie Creek police station, following his time working in private security and then at the Mangrove River station. However, he's now working in a more junior position than Rose.

Cash is quick to start asking questions about the ongoing investigation into Perri's dad Carl's death, but Rose quickly shuts him down.

She points out to Cash that there is a major conflict of interest when it comes to Carl's case, as Cash not only personally knows Perri, but the death took place in Cash's backyard.

She confirms that she can't tell Cash anything about the case and he angrily walks away from her.

With tension mounting between the colleagues after just one day, will Cash start causing problems for Rose's career?

UK viewers saw Carl's death take place in November before the soap took its festive break, as the abusive father got into a fight with his son Perri by Cash's swimming pool.

Tane Parata soon came across a terrified Perri sitting by Carl's body, with Perri having killed his dad in self-defence. After Tane called the police, Perri went on the run, although he later handed himself in.

He is now due to face court for his dad's death, with the outcome yet to be revealed to UK fans.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
