Pregnant Sam Frost reveals that she has found 'peace' in motherhood after quitting Home and Away and retreating from spotlight after anxiety battle - as she awaits birth of her second child

Sam Frost is expecting her second child with partner and Australian Survivor star Jordie Hansen.

The former Bachelor has revealed that she has found 'peace' in motherhood after leaving Home and Away actress and stepping out of the spotlight and having her son, Ted.

'I feel really peaceful and fulfilled. I love being a mum. I'm a family person and an introvert, so home is my safe space' the 35-year-old tells Stellar Magazine.

Sam said she spends time with her sister and nieces, who live down the road, and relishes 'quality time' with family and that it has helped her mental health.

'I used to tell myself that I was a really anxious person and I would always feel quite anxious, but I haven't felt anxious for a really long time' she said.

'Living this kind of lifestyle of being with my family and having a safe space and travelling around places where you don't have phone reception so you're not on social media has completely transformed my life' she continued.

The former actress went on to say that she has largely quit social media.

'I now have a different relationship with Instagram. I use it as a business tool to promote what I'm doing or to show little titbits of my life, but I don't scroll on it. It's not worth disrupting my peace, my mental health and my joy' she said.

Sam posted to Instagram last month to share the exciting news of her impending arrival with a photo of the family all dressed in green and her growing baby bump.

'Our family is growing from three to four,' she began.

'It has been a wild ride but we are extremely grateful our little one is healthy and doing okay in there. We are all very excited to meet you, especially your big brother!'

The actress continued to thank family and friends for the 'love and support over these past few months.'

The soon-to-be mother of two didn't reveal just how far along she is in her pregnancy, however, if her caption is to be believed, she has been pregnant for a few months.

'Huge thank you to our family and friends for all their love and support over these past few months. We love you xxxx,' she captioned the post.

It wasn't long before Sam was inundated with well wishes from her celebrity friends.

'Such beautiful news Sam, and so very happy for you. Huge congrats,' wrote Lisa Wilkinson.

'Woohoo wonderful news!!' added Brittany Hockley.

'Congratulations!!!' wrote The Bachelor's Anna Heinrich.

In August the actress revealed that pregnancy was not easy for her.

'To be honest, I have actually surprised myself,' she told Confidential on Nova radio, discussing what parenting has been like for her since the baby arrived.

'I found pregnancy really difficult and I thought that would be perhaps a reflection on what is going to happen coming up, but to be honest I am actually a little more relaxed than I thought.'

She added her newborn was 'honestly fantastic' and she was enjoying new motherhood.

'He is honestly a dream baby, he is so happy, he is so chilled, he laughs all the time and thinks I am the greatest person in life,' she said.

'He loves my performances, I perform to him constantly and he thinks it is great.'

Sam and Jordie announced their engagement on 7 July 2022.
