 Rose Kelly appeared to be in jovial spirits on Sunday as she celebrated three years of sobriety after turning to drinking in the wake of her high-profile divorce.

The ex-wife of TV weatherman Steve Jacobs was joined by her friends including Jodi Gordon as she marked the milestone achievement at Ikaria restaurant in Bondi.

For the occasion, Rose put on a leggy display in a green leather-look mini dress, which she styled with a pair of stylish cream heeled boots.

The former Nine TV producer, who avoided jail last year after driving on a suspended licence, shielded her eyes with a pair of beige oversized sunglasses.

She toted her essentials in a quilted handbag and flashed a huge smile as she was gifted flowers during the celebratory day out with her nearest and dearest.

Rose was joined by Australian model and actress Jodi, 39, who cut a sophisticated figure in a strapless beige top and a two-piece brown trouser suit.

The Home and Away star added a few extra inches to her frame in a pair of nude strapped heels and completed her chic ensemble with a pair of round shades.

Rose also took to Instagram to share a post about her celebrating three years of sobriety, revealing she has not 'looked back' since giving up alcohol.

Rose married her now-ex-husband Steve (both pictured in 2013) in 2010 three years after meeting on the set of Today. They separated in 2017 and finalised their divorce in 2019 ..

She wrote: 'World's luckiest girl!!! In quitting alcohol three years ago, I gained SO much more - including my incredible tribe of people I consider family, and a new perspective on life. 

'Sobriety is the new black, never looking back!!!'

Rose recently spoke to Daily Mail Australia about her decision to stop drinking after turning to alcohol 'to numb the pain' in the wake of her high-profile divorce.

She claimed she hit the bottle when she was targeted in a hate campaign by her husband Steve's loyal fans after their split.

'There was a lot that happened behind the scenes that still has not become public knowledge and I will take it to the grave,' she said in a rare interview last month.

'I'm not doing that to protect anyone but my kids, but every separation involves two parties.

'The headlines pointed the fingers at me and that was hard, the public shaming was hard and I don't believe it was fair that I copped all of it.'

She said Steve is still the 'love of her life' and that the real reason for their split was his being constantly on the road for TV, which she said caused 'incredible pressure'.

'Anyone who has gone through a divorce knows how hard it can be,' she shared.

'I was drinking more than what was bringing me joy, not just at times of celebration, and I think that's the Aussie way. 

'You drink if you are bored to escape emotions, times of grief and because it's social.

And I have made a conscious decision of being single at this stage of my life. I'm not shut off to love, but I'm not desperately seeking it.'

Rose started her career as a television producer and has hosted shows for the Nine and Ten Networks, Foxtel and The Weather Channel.

She married her now-ex-husband Steve in 2010 three years after meeting on the set of Today, where he was a weather presenter and she worked as a producer.

The couple separated in late 2017, months after relocating to Vanuatu in what friends described as a 'last-ditch attempt' to save their marriage, and divorced in 2019.

In January last year, Rose avoided jail for what she described as a 'stupid decision' to drive on a suspended licence after her high-profile divorce.

She pleaded guilty to driving her Audi Q3 three times in the course of just four months across 2022 while her licence was suspended for previous offences.

She had been driving along Darlinghurst Road in Sydney's eastern suburbs on the morning of August 25 when she was stopped by police..

Her driving permit had been suspended in May 2022 until March 2023, after she racked up five traffic violations in nine months while on a good behaviour licence.

Less than three months later, she was busted by police again on Campbell Parade at Bondi. 

After officers used lights and warning signs to pull her over, court documents reveal she told police she was 'going through a lot at the moment' and 'not well'.

Only four days later, she was pulled over again at Randwick. When police asked why she was driving without a licence, she replied 'no comment'.

Magistrate Megan Greenwood recorded a conviction and handed her $1,650 in fines, 75 hours of community service and disqualified her from driving for three months. 

'If you don't do what community corrections order [states] you can be jailed for this offending,' Ms Greenwood said at the time.

In a lengthy social media post in January 2024, the former television personality addressed the charges and explained she had been going through a 'traumatic' time.

'It's been a shocker!!' she vented to her thousands of followers on Instagram.

'To top it all off, I made some stupid decisions to drive my car to the hospital post-surgery while on a suspended licence. I regret that decision.'

The self-described 'sassy sober mama' explained she was 'in a lot of pain' at the time of the offence and made the regrettable choice to drive.

'I wish I could undo those moments. But I can't,' she admitted, before sharing her optimism for the future.
