Home and Away's Mali Hudson to face a big decision after surprising offer

His art has impressed a gallery owner.

Home and Away's Mali Hudson will face a big decision after receiving a surprising offer.

After getting encouragement from his friend Kirby Aramoana, Mali has recently been exploring a new side of his artistic talent through canvas painting.

Kirby encouraged Mali to pursue this further and enter his artwork into a competition, which he reluctantly agreed to.

Mali later received an email which confirmed that someone else was victorious. He was then sent a letter of commendation in the post.

In scenes set to air on Tuesday, October 29 and Wednesday, October 30, Kirby wants to frame Mali's art commendation, but is worried about overstepping.

Mali is touched by Kirby's gesture and shares that he appreciates her support, which means more to him than winning a prize.

He later receives a call from one of the competition judges who wants to hang his art in a gallery. Mali and Kirby argue about the offer, with Kirby expressing her confusion over her friend's reluctance to do it.

Kirby then enlists Rose's help to convince Mali to send his work to the gallery, but he brushes her off and heads home.

When asked by Xander why she cares so much about her friend's art, Kirby explains that Mali shouldn't waste this exciting opportunity as it could change his life. Her response seems to hit home for Xander.

Later, Kirby ambushes Mali at home, where he finally admits his hesitation over meeting the man from the gallery. He worries that the owner might be expecting to meet a "real" artist.

Kirby argues that he is a real artist and explains that art doesn't always have to come from a painful place.

Following their candid conversation, Mali finally calls the guy from the gallery and arranges a meeting. Could this mark a new shift for his career?
