Home and Away's Cash Newman to turn nasty with love rival

He starts to target Tim over Eden romance.

Home and Away's Cash Newman is set to display some worrying behaviour this week, as he takes his rivalry with Eden Fowler's new boyfriend to the next level.

Viewers recently saw Cash call off his engagement to Eden, in a snap decision made while he was struggling with his grief after his sister Felicity's sudden death from a brain aneurysm.

According to TV Week, new scenes that will air in Australia this week – and in the UK in early 2025 – see Cash's jealousy get the better of him after Eden confesses to him that she's now seeing someone else following their split.

An upset Cash is furious when he finds out the identity of Eden's new man – her sister Abigail's counsellor, Tim, who has been supporting Abigail as she tries to overcome her drug addiction.

"Cash is suspicious of Tim because he sees how he's blurring an ethical line with his work/romance situation," said Nicholas Cartwright, who plays Cash.

Cash soon gets to work investigating Tim, and he begins by making the questionable decision to pull over Tim and Eden's car in a 'random' traffic stop while on duty as a police officer.

He takes the opportunity to get hold of some of Tim's personal details before heading off, with Eden admitting to Tim that the officer is her former fiancé.

Heading back to the station with information on Tim, Cash soon begins looking into Eden's new boyfriend. His obsession quickly escalates, as he starts tracking down Tim's family and friends and following him and Eden around.

Cash even attempts to break into Tim's car to search his possessions – but Cartwright has revealed that Cash doesn't feel guilty about abusing his position.

"Cash will stop at nothing to make sure Eden is safe," he explained. "And if that means using his police powers to achieve that, so be it."

This isn't the first time that Cash has taken the law into his own hands recently, after he got in contact with the woman who received Felicity's heart and lungs following his sister's death, despite anonymity rules.
