Hollyoaks' Cleo McQueen to fight for her life in new scenes

 Will she survive?

Hollyoaks airs a life-or-death situation for Cleo McQueen next week as her ordeal with evil Abe Fielding continues.

Cleo finds herself in desperate need of medical attention after being abandoned by Abe for days.

Last month, Hollyoaks unleashed its one-year time jump twist and revealed that Cleo had been held captive by her abusive partner for 12 months.

While Cleo's family believe that she's away in Bali, she's currently locked up in a hidden room in Abe's flat in the village.

Next week, Abe finally returns to the village after a holiday with his new girlfriend Peri Lomax.

The controversial couple seem loved-up, but Abe's mood turns to one of panic when he finally gets away from Peri and checks on Cleo.

Cleo is seriously ill after being neglected for so long and she explains to Abe that she'll need to go to hospital for antibiotics. Before long, Cleo's condition deteriorates and she passes out.

Abe lets out loud sobs as he fears that he has killed Cleo, but she regains consciousness and begs him to call an ambulance.

Meanwhile, Peri turns up for a previously-arranged date with Abe but becomes frustrated when he doesn't arrive.

Abe's mum Marie steps in to cheer Peri up, then leaves her son an angry voicemail warning him to get to Peri as soon as possible.

Darren Osborne sees Peri and Marie drinking together and steps in with a possible explanation for Abe's absence. He reveals that he saw Abe with an engagement ring, much to the surprise of Peri and Marie.

Peri expresses some doubts over taking this next step after Abe's dark history, but Marie insists that her son is a changed man.

Back at the flat, Abe prepares a special romantic dinner, complete with champagne, roses and a ring box.

Peri bursts in and Abe pops the question, but is everything as it seems or is Abe thinking on his feet to cover something else up?

Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Monday, October 14 and Tuesday, October 15.
