Home and Away's Mali Hudson to struggle with guilt after arrest drama

Mali's deal with the River Boys comes back to haunt him.

Home and Away's Mali Hudson will battle his guilt in scenes that will air in the UK next week, after Dingo's arrest leads to some very difficult questions for him.

Mali was recently forced to act against his better judgement when he recruited gang the River Boys to help him, after discovering that his brother Iluka was involved in a dangerous feud with criminal family the Allens.

After the River Boys backed up Mali in a fight against the Allens, gang member Dingo took advantage and made Mali hide evidence from the murder of local police officer Franklin McGrath.

With Cash Newman arresting Dingo for Franklin's murder this week, Mali could be facing suspicion thanks to his own inadvertent role in covering up the crime.

In scenes airing this week, Mali doesn't show up to take his surfing class, leaving his employee Kirby Aramoana to deal with the fallout.

Kirby spends hours searching for Mali and, when she finally finds him, he refuses to give any details about what he's been up, angering Kirby.

She soon shows concern for her boss, asking him whether he's being harassed by the River Boys, but Mali bats away her questions and just tells her that she'll need to run his next surf class, too.

Thankfully, Tane Parata is more successful in getting answers from Mali when he asks what's going on with him.

Mali admits how guilty he feels about being involved in the big fight with the Allens and his decision to team up with the River Boys, explaining that he's now been questioned over Franklin's murder.

Tane tries his best to reassure Mali, telling him that he needs to find a way to move on from the traumatic situation. But Mali feels that he can hardly recognise himself after everything that he's done.

Will he find a way to move on, or will Mali's decisions have terrible consequences?

Home and Away airs these scenes in the UK on Channel 5 on Tuesday, September 17.
