 She confides in Dana, but things prove trickier with Tane.

Home and Away's Harper Matheson confides in her sister Dana next week after discovering that she's pregnant.

A big new storyline sees Harper realise that she's expecting Tane Parata's baby following their recent one-night stand.

This week's episodes on Channel 5 see Harper secretly buy a pregnancy test.

Returning home to Irene Roberts' place, Harper checks that she's alone before heading to the bathroom to do the test.

In follow-on scenes next week, Harper heads to see Dana at the beach and breaks the news that she's pregnant.

Harper confirms that Tane is the father and she's not sure what to do yet, since they're not a couple and this wasn't planned. She adds that she's hoping to rely on Dana's support while she navigates this situation.

Later, Harper manages to get some time alone with Tane, but there's no time to talk as Summer Bay newcomer Perri Hayes continues to be his main focus.

Tane worries about Perri after realising that he's missing. He fears that Perri may have gone back to his abusive father, who has been bombarding him with phone calls.

With Tane so distracted, it quickly dawns on Harper that she won't have an opportunity to share her news that day.

Harper ends up joining forces with Tane to search for Perri. They start out in the dunes, remembering that Perri has spent the night on the beach before.

Harper also phones Perri's dad and is relieved to hear that the teenager hasn't gone back home to an unsafe environment, but this also means they're still no closer to finding him.

In the end, Mali Hudson finds Perri camped out underneath a hull on the beach and encourages him to come back to the farmhouse.

Perri arrives back just as Harper is about to tell Tane about her pregnancy news, creating yet another interruption.

Tane is concerned to hear that Perri's dad has been threatening him, so he encourages Perri to confide in him next time rather than running away.

Perri blocks his dad from contacting him on his phone. It's a positive turning point as he tells Tane that he's stuck with him now.

Meanwhile, Harper retreats after missing her chance to be honest with Tane. How long will she keep quiet for?

Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday, September 2 and Tuesday, September 3.
