Home and Away to air dramatic kidnap in Bronte Langford storyline
Dana finds herself in danger.
Home and Away's Bronte Langford makes a shocking move on UK screens next week as she arranges for Dana Matheson to be kidnapped.
The con artist takes drastic steps to get Dana out of the picture as she fears being caught out over her scam.
Viewers know that Bronte is manipulating Irene Roberts' emotions by pretending to be terminally ill.
Irene has vowed to help Bronte raise thousands of dollars to secure a place on a life-saving medical trial. Several other Summer Bay residents have also pitched in with the fundraising.
Next week, Dana steps up her efforts to prove that Bronte is lying and there is no trial.
While Dana is off duty at the hospital, she searches for Bronte's medical records.
Dana's colleague Bree Cameron catches her in the act, but she defends herself by pointing out that there's no record of Bronte's false claim that she was poisoned by the Diner.
Bree agrees this seems suspicious and agrees to carry out a wider search of all the hospitals in the state. She's confused when there are no medical records anywhere, which seems to prove that Bronte isn't being honest.
Although Bree encourages her workmate to tread carefully, Dana goes in all guns blazing by confronting Bronte again.
Bronte responds by threatening Dana, questioning whether her "big mouth" has got her into trouble before.
Wasting no time, Bronte calls her secret co-conspirator, Chase, and announces that it's time to silence Dana.
Later, Dana is home alone when Bronte arrives with Chase. Bronte finally lets her mask slip by boasting that she and Chase have carried out this scam twice before.
Dana is left terrified as Bronte and Chase overpower her, grabbing her phone and covering her mouth with duct tape. Nobody is around to hear Dana's screams as she realises that she's being kidnapped.
Home and Away airs these scenes on Friday, August 16 on Channel 5.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
