Neighbours casts Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause in guest role

 From Hollywood to Ramsay Street…

Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause is headed Down Under for an appearance in Neighbours.

The Netflix reality star will be arriving in Oz this July to film a guest role in the iconic soap, playing a character called Yasmine 'Yas' Shields who turns up with an exciting business opportunity for Erinsborough.

Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison has confirmed that the role of Yas was specifically created for Chrishell.

"We are thrilled to welcome Chrishell to the cast of Neighbours," the producer said. "We created a character especially for her and we can’t wait for her to bring the storyline alive. Expect intrigue and surprises – and many implications for the residents of Ramsay Street.”

Chrishell also said: "I am honored and excited to join such a beloved and iconic show! Coming from the world of soaps in the US, it’s back to my first love in the entertainment industry. They pitched me an idea for a character, and I was immediately excited to figure out a way to make it happen. Ramsay Street, here I come."

As mentioned, Chrishell got her start acting in soaps before she found a whole new level of fame as one of the real estate agents in Selling Sunset.

Chrishell was a mainstay of the US soap world in the early 2000s, playing Amanda Dillon in All My Children and later earning a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for portraying Jordan Ridgeway in Days of Our Lives.

The actor recently lined up a leading part in the Netflix original movie Hot Frostywhere she is set to star with Mean Girls' Lacey Chabert and Schitt's Creek actor Dustin Milligan.

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
