Home and Away star's sex scene with A-lister made him 'want to quit his career'

Samara Weaving admitted that after doing a sex scene with a Hollywood icon, he clearly did not want to do the profession anymore as she joked he wanted to quit his job.

A former legend from Home and Away has admitted that she nearly put one of her co-stars off acting forever.

Samara Weaving has been dominating Hollywood over the last few years, bagging huge roles in Scream VI and Babylon, to name just a few. In 2023, she took on the role of Marie-Josephine de Montalembert in the film Chevalier, which was released in April of that year.

Appearing on the Late Late Show with James Corden, Samara admitted that during the course of filming one of the sex scenes of the film, both main actors were uncomfortable. However, this was due to how "awkward" the pair were around each other as they stripped off.

In one scene that had viewers' eyes peeled to the screen, Samara is seen to be "super naked" alongside co-star Kelvin Harrison Jr. However, during the scene, he uttered something incredibly horrifying for Weaving, she recalled on the show.

Speaking about filming sex scenes, Samara admitted: "It's always super awkward and very mechanical and not sexy at all," she explained to Corden, before going into detail about her story.

"Anyway, it was a Friday, and we’re in bed, I’m super naked," she recounted. "He’s there, we’re making out, and this is the time that he decides to go, ‘Ugh, I just want to quit'."

Samara quipped that she "couldn't believe it", as she believed she looked amazing during the scene. As she recalled what happened, she pretended to cover up her body with her hands to give herself some privacy.

Host James then asked her if he realised how the comment would make her feel when she heard it. Thankfully, Weaving revealed that he did in fact apologise for his poor timing.

"He felt bad," she said. "And then he was like, ‘I’m so sorry, I’m just really tired. I’m really exhausted.’ So yeah, my lovemaking nearly got Kelvin to quit his career."

During the course of filming, however, Samara did explain that he was having a series of incredibly busy days and weeks. Kelvin, who played the role of Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges on the project, seemed to have an incredibly busy schedule due to filming in several different places, as well as learning some new skills.

"He was having a rough time, and he was, because Kelvin was up at like 3am playing the violin. He was learning how to fence a million people," she added before mentioning that he was spending every day on set filming shots for the movie.
