Neighbours spoilers reveal cyber attack ringleader, heartbreaking memorial and intense showdown

 

There’s another intense week ahead on Neighbours next week as the residents of Ramsay Street reel from the shock revelation that Felix Rodwell (James Beaufort) is JJ Varga-Murphy’s (Riley Bryant) father.

The Amazon Freevee soap will explore the fallout between the two families plus Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) makes it her mission to find out who was behind last week’s deepfake drama.

If that wasn’t enough, Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) continues to struggle with Melanie Pearson’s (Lucinda Cowden) presence on the street.

Meanwhile, Sadie Rodwell (Emerald Chan) fights for her relationship with Byron Stone (Xavier Molyneux) and Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) is caught doing something repulsive in a bush…

If that wasn’t exciting enough, the show has announced this week that some of the cast will be embarking on a nationwide tour of the UK next year to celebrate 40 years of the Aussie phenomenon.

So cancel that trip to The Bungle Bungles and don’t you dare go on that cruise with Marlene Kratz – here’s everything you need to know about next week’s episodes that you won’t want to miss.

Felix loses his son

With JJ to process the news that Felix is his father, Wendy (Candice Leask) refuses to allow Andrew (Lloyd Will) to take the blame for introducing them both.

In a further blow, the family learn that Felix has been apprehended by the police in a sting involving his girlfriend Jools Halliday (Eva Seymour).

Springing out of bed, Andrew puts his recovery to one side and heads to the police station to confront his brother.

Declaring his actions as cowardly, Felix is devastated at the thought of losing not only a brother but also a potential father/son relationship.

JJ remains instant on seeing his dad in custody, but mum Remi (Naomi Rukavina) has already stepped in to make Felix promise to refuse all contact with him.

Andrew changes his tune

Further drama for the Rodwell family follows as Sadie admits to her dad that she doesn’t want to fight with him anymore after managing to drive a wedge between her and boyfriend Byron last week.

Backing down, Andrew admits that he went overboard and pays him a visit to tell him he’s withdrawn the unroadworthy notice he placed on his car.

Byron is further surprised as he vows, albeit gruffly, not to get in the way of him and Sadie.

Sadie is grateful for her dad’s change in attitude and her hopeful anticipation bubbles when she crosses paths with her lover – but it’s met with an awkward vibe which leaves her devastated.

Later, Sadie’s heart soars when Byron comes around to ask for a second chance… these two are back on course! 

Karl pays the price for Terese’s good publicity

Following the scaffolding accident at Eirini Rising, Terese is determined to generate positive publicity and decides to make the announcement of Karl being their resident doctor and wellness expert.

Over the moon that he’s going to be the face of the development with billboards placed across Erinsborough, he decides to drive a health kick with lodger Melanie.

As the two head out on their bikes, Karl’s grumbling tummy takes a nasty turn, forcing him to dash into a nearby bush in someone’s front yard for an urgent code brown.

Yucky.

Mackenzie plays Miss Marple

Having hit her savings goals, Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) excitedly ropes in Byron to go car shopping as Haz listens in on their conversation remotely.

Soon after, he receives a USB containing an animation of himself as a creepy skeleton, accompanied by a hostile message and his anxiety escalates as Byron mentions he saw someone watching him over the backyard fence.

Holly questions how Haz knows so much about the car she was viewing, realising he must have heard it while monitoring her and not long after, is distressed to discover her bank account empty.

Unbeknownst to her, the money has mysteriously made its way to Haz’s personal bank account.

As Holly delivers the news of her cyber burglary to Byron and Mackenzie, Haz successfully emulates their shock, but his guilt privately flares.

In an attempt to make amends, he attempts to anonymously deliver an envelope containing her original $20,000, but when he’s caught in the act, he struggles to cover for his actions.

Later, Haz receives a screenshot of Mackenzie’s email from his tormentor and is deeply hurt to read Mack confess that she’s never going to love Haz the way she loved her late husband Hendrix Greyson (Benny Turland).

Meanwhile, Andrew’s own detective work has found that Jane (Annie Jones), Aaron (Matt Wilson) and Holly’s attacks have all come from the same IP address and have been executed through a malware app.

Following his advice, Mackenzie downloads an anti-virus app and discovers the malware has also been installed on her phone, and is left uncomfortable with the feeling that Haz is somehow involved in the cybercrimes.

Following her suspicions, she rifles through his bag and discovers a hard drive confirming everything.

After she issues an ultimatum, a defeated Haz bears all about his shady past in IT, leaving her shocked.

Wanting her to let him deal with it his way, she’s determined to let the police know but he begs her to give him a second chance.

Krista caves after Hope’s memorial

On the day of Hope’s memorial service, Krista Sinclair (Majella Davis) struggled not to fall of the wagon but is comforted by an emotional send-off by the lake from Paul and her close friends.

After the service, and in the wake of losing dear friend David Tanaka (Takaya Honda), Krista admits to boyfriend Leo (Tim Kano) that she’s proud of herself for staying sober.

However, after breaking down at seeing a print of Hope’s footprints, she eyes up Byron’s prescription painkillers.

After such upheaval, can Krista fight off the temptation to use again?

Having been responsible for Hope’s death, Chelsea feels immense guilt and can’t attend the memorial – but tells boyfriend Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) that she’ll support him by manning the fort at Lassiter’s instead.

In the hotel office, she finds that a a report has been commissioned into the software glitch that allegedly locked the sauna door and ultimately caused Krista’s baby to be stillborn.

The man delivering the report, Jeffrey Swan, reveals to Chelsea that she is directly implicated and already fearing for her relationship with Paul, makes an indecent proposal in return for doctoring the report to clear her name.

Later in the week, satisfied after seducing Jeffrey, she is left gobsmacked to see Paul and ex-wife Terese talking closely.

When he asks if she’s seen the report from the IT provider, Chelsea feigns indifference and offers to chase it up.

Melanie is too close for comfort

Arriving at No. 28 to talk over her publicity drive, Terese can’t bring herself to come in to continue the conversation as the reminder of Toadie’s act of infidelity in the house is too much to bear. 

Rattled when she sees Melanie for the first time since returning to the street, Terese turns to Paul for support which prompts Jane to enquire whether or not he has ulterior motives now that Terese’s marriage to Toadie has imploded.

She insists that he is only acting as a supportive friend, and after Hope’s memorial, which she can’t bring herself to attend because of Melanie’s presence, she returns the favour by being a supportive friend to Paul.
