Home and Away actress engaged to beau after 'secretly' splitting with girlfriend

 Home and Away star Kassandra Clementi, best known for her role as Maddy Osborne on the Australian soap, announced the exciting news that she is engaged to her partner.

Kassandra Clementi, famed for playing Maddy Osborne on the Australian soap from 2013 until 2016, is set to tie the knot with animal sanctuary owner Dan McKernan. The actress shared the exciting news on Instagram, revealing her beau got down on one knee nearly one year ago.

The 32-year-old revealed that Dan popped the question when she was heavily pregnant with their first child. Their happy snaps show the couple beaming in front of a sunset as Kassandra showed off her new ring.

Alongside the images, she wrote: "We got ENGAGED. Just over a year ago. Dan was fresh from a rescue covered in goat s**t, I was waddling like I swallowed a ford focus.

She continued: "I had also drooled on my shirt during a recent nap, the sunset was beautiful (hallelujah for something nice), it was perfect and perfectly us." The former soap star confessed the couple are yet to start planning their wedding as they are busy raising their daughter.

She added that their baby girl, who will turn one in May, "is better than everyone you know". A number of Kassandra's pals and former co-stars rushed to the comments to congratulate the pair on their news.

Georgie Parker, who has played Roo Stewart since 2010, wrote: "Divine, utterly divine." Former Home and Away and Hollyoaks star Kyle Prior kept things simple with a red heart emoji.

Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac posted three white love heart emojis as American actress Constance Zimmer commented love heart-eye emojis. Kassandra and Dan went public with their relationship in August 2022.

Fans were surprised at the time as the actress hadn't publicly announced her split from her former fiancé Jacqueline Toboni. It's unknown when the TV duo started dating, but their first photos shared together were in 2019.

They got engaged in Italy in 2021, with Kassandra documenting the moment on Instagram. The Adelaide-born star later confirmed via an Instagram comment that she and Jacqueline had "separated a while ago, amicably".
