Leah tells Marilyn that she is returning to Summer Bay, but doesn't want Justin knowing. Not feeling ready to return to her own home, Leah asks if she can stay with Alf and Marilyn.
Marilyn swears Alf to secrecy, but he feels conflicted at keeping this from Justin. When he runs into Justin and Theo at the surf club, Alf shares Leah's plans.
When Leah returns, Alf admits that he had to tell Justin. Leah explains her reasoning for not returning home, admitting pulling a knife on the man she loves might be something she can't move past.
Although she's not ready to see Justin, Leah says she made great progress at the clinic. Theo updates Justin, who turns up on Alf's doorstep.
Leah reluctantly permits him entry but tries to stress the gravity of her mental state. When Justin begs Leah to return home, she retreats upstairs, and calls Alf and Marilyn home to encourage Justin to go.
Justin opens up to Alf about his unstable state. When Alf informs Leah, she joins Justin at Salt - but is brutally honest. Leah tells him she needs space before she can think about fixing their relationship.
Once Leah is settled in bed for the night, Alf tells Marilyn that another member of the Surf Club has resigned. With four members gone, that means there’s no management.
John returns to running the bronze medallion course and makes sure he does nothing to jeopardise his job. Dana overhears Alf discussing the potential collapse of the Surf Club and interrogates Banjo about him witnessing his father, Simon Henderson, handing wads of cash out to committee members.
Banjo confirms what he witnessed, while Rose reveals committee members took cash from Simon in exchange for their resignation. When Rose goes to confront Simon, he hangs up on her.
He then tells Alf he'll be withdrawing his entire sponsorship. Across the Bay, Levi tells someone called Imogen that he'll be returning home soon.
The doctor returns to the hospital and gives Mackenzie the green light to go home. Unsatisfied, however, Mackenzie invites him to her home, wanting to talk about their relationship.
Levi explains that he has professional boundaries and cannot let what happened between them happen again. Despite this, they sleep together.
Their romance is short-lived as Mali arrives and accuses Levi of taking advantage of his patient. Mackenzie defends Levi, claiming she initiated things.
