Home and Away casts TikTok star Millie Ford in guest role

Home and Away has announced the casting of TikTok star Millie Ford in a guest role.

The Australian soap will feature Ford as an influencer named Montana, in scenes that will air this week Down Under, and in mid-April in the UK.

Not much has been revealed about the specifics, but she filmed the majority of her scenes alongside James Stewart, Kyle Shilling and Kirsty Marillier.

Speaking to 7News, Ford teased: "I can’t say too much about my character. But I will say it's quite fun and we had the best time.

"I actually play an influencer, which is my real-life job, and everyone was laughing like, 'This is just classic'."

She called Stewart, Shilling and Marillie "amazing to work alongside" and "so welcoming and warm," stating: "I was just a sponge watching them work and everything went really quickly.

“So you kind of just have to kind of be on the ball and make sure that you’re picking up any sort of advice in between takes.

"They also helped me to not feel self-conscious, and I think that's really important because it just shows up on the camera.

"We were actually cracking up to the point where we almost couldn't hold it in on camera."

Ford says she wants to move into acting as a full-time career, and while she is still figuring out what kind of actress she wants to be, she called Home and Away "a high-quality iconic show" and "an amazing opportunity".

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
