Home and Away's Harper and Dana to face major dilemma over Irene

 Fears for the future.

Home and Away’s Harper and Dana Matheson are to face a tricky decision over Irene, as their ordeal continues.

In scenes that have aired in Australia and will air in the UK next week, Harper is still awaiting trial for helping to hide her sister Dana when she was on the run after being framed in a drug investigation.

Irene Roberts also helped to hide Dana from the police, with her house being used as a base, but she already has a prior criminal record. Harper’s lawyer therefore advises her to keep her distance from Irene, something Harper later confides in Cash and Eden about.

Cash tells Harper that she needs to talk to her about this, to prepare Irene if the prosecution is going to be tough on her.

The next day, Harper does just this, and tells Irene why she has been avoiding her. Irene is understanding of the situation and encourages her to follow the advice of her lawyer.

However, Harper tells Irene that she isn’t going to abandon her, as Irene has helped her so much. As a result, John demands Irene see her own lawyer.

John continues to pester Irene about this, but Irene doesn’t want to hear her friend’s concern. In a fury, she kicks him out of the Diner, but privately she is scared about her future.

Irene hits breaking point when she catches Harper and Dana looking up her criminal charges, thinking that they’re now doubting their decision to stand by her. John continues to support her, which Irene is grateful for.

What does the future hold for Harper, Irene and Dana?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
