Home and Away's Felicity Newman is set to deceive Tane Parata in upcoming scenes.

In scenes airing on Wednesday, January 3 and Thursday, January 4 on Channel 5, Felicity hides her doubts about agreeing to start a family with Tane when she sees how excited he is for their future together.

In an attempt to temper Tane's expectations, Felicity reminds him that she has only just stopped taking the pill and it could be a while before anything happens.

When Felicity tells her brother Cash that she and Tane are planning to have a baby, he's delighted but surprised about her change in heart regarding motherhood.

However, it soon becomes clear that Felicity hasn't changed her mind when she later retrieves her contraceptive pill from a hiding place and takes one.

Later in the week, when Felicity is called home from Salt for a romantic meal with Tane, his excitement about fatherhood is palpable.

Felicity feels guilty about lying to Tane and reacts defensively when he monitors her drinking. Despite her attempts to curb his expectations, nothing makes a difference.

Will Felicity's secrecy ultimately tear her and Tane apart?

The soap is currently on a break in Australia and the UK, following their respective season finales. The UK finale saw Justin's life left hanging in the balance as Vita Nova exacted their revenge, while Kirby wanted Lyrik to reunite, and Irene found herself under arrest.
