Neighbours confirms 13 huge returns and a major recast in game-changing week
Neighbours is going large for its highly-anticipated flashback week, with not one, not two but a whopping 13 characters set to return to Ramsay Street for the historic event.
The long-running soap returned to screens on Amazon Freevee last month, with a new season set two years after the events of the star-studded finale, which aired on Channel 5 last year.
There were twists and questions galore, with a lot having happened in Erinsborough in its time of air, with the biggest twist of all being that Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) and Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) are now married.
Toadie, as fans will recall, married Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden) in the finale of the popular show, while Terese reunited with long-time love Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis).
Paul, however, jilted Terese at the altar during the show’s time off air, bringing to an end their union and, with Melanie having disappeared after allegedly claiming that she’s not cut out of to be a stepmum, Toadie and Terese ultimately found one another.
But almost two months into Neighbours’ revival and there are still questions galore about what really went down during that two year period.
Enter the Tell-All Flashback episodes.
Amazon Freevee has confirmed a very special week of episodes, which will be available to stream next week, that will take audiences back in time to fill in all the blanks and answer the questions we’re all dying to know.
Melanie’s comeback will be at the centre of it all, but she won’t be the only character staging a return for the historic series of episodes, with a whopping 12 further characters set to return.
David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) and Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) will stage a comeback, as will Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly), Elly Conway (Jodi Gordon), Bea Nillson (Bonnie Anderson), Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton), Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer), Mal Kennedy (Benjamin McNair) and Phil Martin (Ian Rawlings).
Callum Rebecchi (Morgan Baker) and Imogen Willis (Ariel Kaplan), who were last seen in Neighbours’ returning episode, will also be back for the flashback outings.
Nicolette Stone will finally make her return too, with newcomer Hannah Monson will be taking over the role, replacing Charlotte Chimes who played the character previously.
‘The new season began with some major shocks for the audience – but is everything as it seems?,’ said Neighbours’ Executive Producer Jason Herbison.
‘Flashback week will take us back in time and explore what really happened over the last two years. By the end of it, everything will be changed for the residents, with the ramifications lasting for months to come.’
Trust us when we say, you won’t want to miss this.
