Home and Away's Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan to be kidnapped as cult storyline returns

Their lives hang in the balance.

Home and Away revisits the Vita Nova cult storyline on UK screens next week, as the final episodes of the year air.

The Summer Bay soap will be taking a break on Channel 5 after Friday, November 17, but a dramatic UK cliffhanger has been written in to mark the occasion.

In upcoming scenes, Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan receive news that they've won a luxury holiday.

Justin celebrates and looks forward to the getaway, although Leah is reluctant to leave as she believes that her friend Marilyn Chambers needs her.

Leah points out that Marilyn is feuding with Roo Stewart and needs some support. Marilyn urges Leah not to worry about her and encourages her to enjoy the holiday.

The next time viewers see Leah and Justin, they're being held captive in an abandoned warehouse.

It turns out that Leah and Justin were ambushed on the road while making their way out of Summer Bay. The sinister Vita Nova cult were responsible, wanting revenge after Justin rescued Andrew Lawrence and got leader Margot Dafoe in trouble with the law.

Leah and Justin have been left to die without food or water, as the cult members have no intention of returning to rescue them.

Justin spots a ladder in the warehouse and tries to scale the rafters of the abandoned factory. Sadly, the scrap metal that he's using to cross comes crashing down on top of him.

Justin is left unconscious, while Leah is hysterical at the thought that she might have to watch her beloved partner die.

Leah carefully removes the debris from Justin's chest. Once conscious again, Justin explains that he has broken his ribs and is unable to move.

Justin also complains that he's struggling to breathe and Leah realises that time might be running out when he starts coughing up blood.

Realising that she has to do something, Leah makes a new plan to escape by climbing the walls, reasoning that she can bring help to Justin.

Before Leah attempts to escape, she holds Justin and tearfully asks him to marry her. Will they ever get to exchange their vows?
