Home and Away's Kirby Aramoana makes life-changing Lyrik decision
Her solo launch leads her to a big realisation.
Home and Away's Kirby Aramoana will make a huge and life-changing decision next week, when she reconsiders the future of her career.
Kirby quit band Lyrik earlier this year to pursue a solo career, but her path to success has not been a smooth ride so far, particularly with her former bandmates Remi Carter and Eden Fowler feeling bitter about her departure.
In scenes that will air in the UK next week, Kirby is feeling nervous about the launch event for her solo career, but is grateful to her manager, Forrest Duke, despite his previous meddling in her relationship with her friends.
Forrest has pulled out all the stops for Kirby's launch, organising a limousine to pick her up and booking an incredible venue, which he has decorated with striking portraits of her.
On his way to the launch, a suited-up Theo Poulos stops by to see Remi and Eden to make one final attempt to persuade them to come along too, but they turn him away, still unable to forgive Kirby for quitting Lyrik.
When Theo shows up, he's full of enthusiastic encouragement for Kirby, but he has to break the disappointing news that Remi and Eden won't be coming.
Kirby's disappointment over being abandoned by her friends escalates and, half an hour before showtime, she peels back the curtain to see the audience. While the turnout is impressive, her mind is fixed on the absence of Remi and Eden.
Following the pair's decision to shirk Kirby's launch, Remi and Eden are filled with guilt for not supporting their friend. Meanwhile, Kirby is about to step on stage, but she can't help but think that everything feels wrong. However, Forrest reassures her and the show must go on.
As Kirby begins her performance, Eden and Remi enter the room, filling Kirby with a new sense of confidence.
After a stellar show, Forrest pulls Kirby away from her friends to give interviews, but Kirby refuses to do them. She suddenly declares that being a solo artist doesn't feel right to her, and she wants to go back to Lyrik.
A fierce Forrest threatens Kirby, telling her that she must fulfil the contract she signed or be faced with a world of trouble.
While celebrating later, Kirby breaks the news to her former bandmates that she wants to rejoin Lyrik. While Theo and Eden are over the moon, Remi scoffs bitterly - as far as he's concerned, Lyrik is dead.
Is there really no hope for the band's future?
Home and Away currently airs weekdays at 1pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
