Home and Away reunion snap sends fans wild as iconic character return 'sealed'

 Home and Away's Steve Peacock is famed for playing Darryl 'Brax' Braxton on the soap and fans have begged for him to return after he posed alongside a number of current stars

Home and Away hope for the return of Darryl 'Brax' Braxton after actor Steve Peacock was photographed with a number of the soap's current stars.

The actor, 42, won the hearts of soap fans when he arrived in Summer Bay in 2011 and is still regarded as one of the show's most popular characters. Brax was the oldest of the Braxton brothers, playing the role for five years before departing in 2016.

The character played a central role in a number of huge storylines, including the death of his girlfriend Charlie Buckton (Esther Anderson) and being sentenced to 15 years in prison for a murder he committed when he was a teenager. Last month, the Me Before You star sent fans wild when he attended an event held by Australian broadcaster, Channel 7.

On the red carpet, Steve jumped into a photo alongside several Home and Away stars, including Jessica Redmayne (Harper Matheson), Kirsty Marillier (Rose Delaney), Adam Rowland (Remi Carter) and Matt Evans (Theo Poulos). The snap was shared by the official Home and Away page and Channel 7, with the caption: "Home and Away? More like Home and a SLAY.

The cast are looking absolutely fire whilst on the red carpet at SxSW for Seven's massive upfront event. With a special cameo from #StephenPeacocke aka #Brax who jumped in for a pic."

Fans couldn't hide their excitement, rushing to the comments and begging for the star to make a return. One wrote: "Fabulous to see brax wish he would come back to the series."

"Please bring Brax back," added a second. A third echoed: "Could Brax please come back to Summer Bay for a surprise visit they would love to see him and so would the H and A viewers."

Someone else pleaded: "Love the Braxtons. Bring them back." A fifth chimed: "Ah hoping Brax was coming back to the Bay."

While another agreed: "I’d tune in just for Brax!! Take me back to the river boys days!" In 2015, Brax was being transferred from jail when his prison van was run off the road and plunged into a lake.

With the character presumed dead, he was able to escape and watch over girlfriend Ricky (Bonnie Sveen). Brax reappeared for the final time in 2016, reuning with Ricky and their son Casey before leaving Summer Bay for good.
