Hollyoaks' Yazz and Tom Cunningham to reach crisis point over their future

Yazz and Tom Cunningham will reach a crisis point over their future in Hollyoaks.

The couple have had a very tough year, as Yazz suffered an ectopic pregnancy in June and, only a few months later, she was diagnosed with early menopause.

In upcoming scenes, Misbah Maalik tries to be supportive of her daughter as Yazz struggles to come to terms with her diagnosis.

While Yazz has admitted in the past she was unsure of having children, she now understandably is upset that the choice has been made for her due to her menopause diagnosis.

Yazz refuses to engage with her mother, then lashes out at Carter at work. Tom is determined to get his marriage back on track with a romantic dinner, though he's stunned to hear Yazz has gone back to work.

At Hollyoaks High, Yazz admits to Carter that it may not have been the best decision to come back to work so soon, though she warns her boss she may have to talk to HR over his unsympathetic response.

Misbah later tries to get through to Yazz once again, revealing Tom was planning a romantic trip to London for her.

This revelation leads to a heart-to-heart moment between the couple where Yazz assures Tom that her reluctance to be intimate with him won't last forever.

However, Yazz is soon disappointed once again to find out Tom has scrapped their London visit. Tom gets an idea on how to bring back the passion in his marriage after some advice from Tony and Beau.

Tom surprises Yazz with his plan for them to renew their wedding vows, only for Yazz to reveal she wants them to go backpacking in Asia instead.

Can the pair find common ground?
