Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox reveals her return to filming

Nancy Osborne is on her way home.

Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox has revealed that she has returned to filming on the soap following her maternity leave.

The actress teased on Instagram that she is back on set, as she posted a photo of herself in her dressing room mirror, wearing a casual black outfit and sporting a dark bob with a fringe.

"Same dressing room, completely different person," she captioned the post, referencing the fact that she has returned to work as a new mum.

The star, who has played Nancy Osborne since 2005, was welcomed back by the official Hollyoaks Instagram account, which commented, "HERE SHE IS!!!" alongside fire and heart emojis.

Fox's co-stars also shared their joy at having her back on set, with Theresa McQueen actress Jorgie Porter - who welcomed her own baby boy Forest last year - commenting, "She's in", and Liberty Savage star Jessamy Stoddart sharing several heart emojis. Stoddart also gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Joni, earlier this year.

Ross Adams (Scott Drinkwell) and Alex Fletcher (Diane Hutchinson) also shared their love for Fox, as did former stars Gary Lucy (Luke Morgan) and Claire Cooper (Jacqui McQueen).

With Hollyoaks filming around two months in advance, it's likely that Nancy will be back on our screens in late December or early January.

Fox and her husband Nicholas Willes welcomed their first child in March, revealing that they had named their baby boy River.

"Baby River, you have changed our world forever and we are so grateful we get to love you," she wrote on an Instagram post announcing her son's birth.

Nancy was last seen in Hollyoaks in March, when she chose to fly abroad with her and husband Darren Osborne's baby girl, Morgan, in order for Morgan to receive surgery for her circulatory problems.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
