Neighbours spoilers: Jane Harris spirals as her world is destroyed by devastating blow

 

Jane Harris (Annie Jones) is set to be rocked by a truly devastating blow in Neighbours next week, with a close friendship of hers called into question as a result.

Erinsborough High’s head teacher, as fans will know, is currently in the UK on a trip of a lifetime with love of her life Mike Young (Guy Pearce).

The former flames reunited in last year’s finale, which saw the couple, whose love story captivated the nation during the late eighties, come back together for what was thought to be Neighbours’ final ever episode.

The popular soap was subsequently revived by Amazon Freevee, with the new series seeing Mike and Jane’s tale continue, with Guy Pearce reprising the role that made him a star.

The first two weeks have seen Mike and Jane revisit old haunts in scenes filmed in Surrey and, despite Jane being riddled with jet lag, it’s become apparent that she’s keeping something huge from her beau.

Mike, meanwhile, is keen to pop the question, though hasn’t quite mustered up the courage to do so just yet, despite encouragement from daughter Sam (Henrietta Graham).

Despite his fears, however, Mike pops the question in upcoming scenes. Jane’s answer remains to be seen, but later in the week, we find her back in Ramsay Street, where she’s betrayed by a close friend.

Next week, Jane spirals as she desperately tries to deal with the devastating blow she’s received, not to mention the fallout of a close friendship having been destroyed.

The question is: just what has transpired? What’s more, will Jane and this so-called friend be able to get back on the same page?

That remains to be seen, though pictures from the week in question see her having a heart-to-heart with Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou).

Has Terese done something to Jane? Or is she simply trying to offer her support?
