Neighbours schoolgirl Nell Rebecchi looks likely to face some difficult questions after being caught out for scheming in secret.

Nell took centre stage in Wednesday's end-of-episode cliffhanger as her hidden agenda over Melanie Pearson was finally exposed to her father Toadie.

Over the past few weeks, Nell has caused trouble for Toadie's new wife Terese by making her feel unwelcome in the family.

Nell still misses the days of Toadie being married to Melanie and believes that Terese isn't right for him. Reluctant to risk alienating Nell further, Terese hasn't told Toadie about what she's up to.

The truth came to light in the latest visit to Ramsay Street thanks to an unexpected delivery in the mail.

Nell was revealed to have posted one of Melanie's old pig ornaments back to her, but it was mysteriously returned to sender.

Nell downplayed the situation by telling Toadie that she hadn't wanted him to be upset over reminders of Melanie being littered around the house.

This cover story was blown when the pig fell and broke, revealing a note that Nell had hidden inside.

This read: "It's not working out with Dad and Terese. He's miserable and he still loves you. Come back."

With Nell's feelings finally out in the open, how will Toadie feel about her recent behaviour – and Terese's role in keeping it secret?
