Neighbours is moving already after less than a month back
Neighbours is on the move in Australia two weeks after its TV return, with the long-running soap set to switch timeslots.
Just months after the show’s finale episode on Channel 5, it was confirmed Amazon Freevee had stepped in to revive the series, with new episodes airing on the streaming platform in the UK.
Over in Australia, Neighbours has been airing on Channel 10, four nights a week, at 4:30pm, but it has now been revealed that the soap will broadcast at 4pm instead.
The change will happen from October 9, with US daytime soap The Bold & The Beautiful returning to its previous slot.
The relaunch of Neighbours has received critical acclaim and proven to be a huge success for fans, particularly in the UK, where the series has shot straight to the top of Amazon Freevee, becoming the streamers most watched programme in just a matter of weeks.
With a host of fan-favourite characters back on our screens, fans have been overjoyed with the new visits to Ramsay Street, and there will be soon more reason to celebrate, with Sharon Davies set to stage a comeback.
Sharon, whose two-year stint in the late eighties made her firm fan-favourite, made a surprise cameo last year during what was thought to be the final ever episode of the Aussie soap.
Elsewhere, recent episodes of Neighbours revealed the reason for Harold’s (Ian Smith) concerning changes in his behaviour.
After tests that rules out dementia and Alzheimer’s, Harold was told that his memory loss was happening as a result of new blood pressure medication, which was mixing badly with other tablets he was already taking.
