Neighbours fears for Remi Varga-Murphy in shocking anthrax scenes

 Will she be okay?

Neighbours fans will see Ramsay Street become a crime scene next week in the aftermath of Thursday's (October 26) worrying cliffhanger.

The campaign of intimidation targeting the Varga-Murphy family reached new heights in the latest episode, as a suspicious envelope containing white powder arrived at Number 30.

Remi opened the letter, accidentally cutting her finger before coming into contact with the mysterious powder.

She urged her wife Cara to rush their sons JJ and Dex out of the house for their own safety.

Neighbours' end-of-episode teaser promo confirmed that the incident will be treated as a potential anthrax scare.

Next week, police sergeant Andrew Rodwell takes charge of the situation as the Varga-Murphys wait for the emergency services to arrive.

Remi stays inside at Number 30 after her family flees, but Cara soon considers re-entering the house to be with her.

She says: "I'm not leaving Remi in there alone."

ndrew protests: "If the worst happens, the boys are going to need you."

Meanwhile, a guilty Wendy Rodwell blurts out that the incident is "all my fault" as she feels terrible over her recent call to the Linwell brothers. This phone conversation seemingly tipped off the Linwells over Cara's whereabouts.

Cara became a target for the ruthless villains when she reported them for unsafe work practices at her old job. As she has since been asked to testify at a WorkSafe tribunal, the Linwells are using threatening tactics to silence her.

Have they now taken their methods to a whole new level – or is the white powder letter a sick hoax?

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
