Neighbours confirms major Reece Sinclair twist that turns everything on its head and we’re stunned

 

Neighbours spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (October 18) episode that is now available to stream on Amazon Freevee.

Reece Sinclair (Mischa Barton) has played her cards pretty close to her chest since rocking up in Erinsborough, having refrained from divulging any information about the world in which she comes from.

In soapland, keeping shtum is almost always confirmation that someone is harbouring a big secret. Reece’s refusal to open up, as we know, was largely due to the fact that she’s a member of the Sinclair family.

The family in question bought Terese Willis’ (Rebekah Elamaloglou) share of Lassiters, meaning that she was spying on behalf of her father.

In typical Neighbours fashion, however, this was simply the icing on the cake, with the latest offering of the Aussie soap hinting that there’s much more to come regarding Reece’s backstory.

The episode in question, which hit Freevee on Wednesday, saw Reece making arrangements to meet with her beloved Byrone Stone (Xavier Molyneux), who she previously declared her love for, when she made a shock discovery.

The businesswoman overheard Lassiters staff discussing a necklace in lost property and, upon setting her sights on the item, she was rendered speechless, racing back to her hotel room.

After a rummage through her jewellery box, Reece removed a necklace that is similar in style to the one she spotted in the lobby.

Reece’s prized possession likely belongs to someone she cared deeply about, which raises the question of where did the other one come from? What’s more, does it belong to someone she knows?

The newcomer’s father, who resides in the US, similarly plays his cards close to his chest, so one can’t help but wonder if he had alternative reasons for investing in Lassiters?

And if this proves to be the case, are his reasons tied to whoever owns the necklace?

The preview clip for the next episode shows Reece keen to find out all she can on where the necklace in lost property originated from, but will she manage to get the answers she’s looking for?
