Major twist as Neighbours reveals JJ Varga-Murphy’s huge secret and its actually jaw-dropping

Neighbours spoilers follow for Monday’s (October 2) episode that is now available to stream on Amazon Freevee.

From the moment he set foot on Ramsay Street, it became clear that JJ Varga-Murphy (Riley Bryant) was up to something, with viewers desperate to know what exactly his ulterior motive in coming to Erinsborough was.

The newcomer has been on a mission to find out all there is to know about the Street, in addition to everyone who resides there, taking a particular interest in the Rodwell clan.

Last week’s offerings of the Freevee original soap confused things further, with JJ claiming that he’s keen to become a cop in a bid to spend more time with Andrew Rodwell (Lloyd Will)..

The teen’s suspicious behaviour piqued the interest of Dex (Marley Williams), who is determined to know what exactly his sibling is up to, with Monday’s edition of Neighbours proving quite enlightening in this respect.

Dex did some digging, having a look in his brother’s rucksack, making quite the discovery as he found an old diary belonging to a friend of their mum’s named Phillipa.

Left with little choice, JJ explained why he’s been so secretive, confirming that he believes Andrew might actually be his biological father.

Consider us stunned.

Using the diary to back up his theory, JJ revealed that, prior to becoming pregnant with him, his Mum had ‘used up’ everything from her sperm donor.

Mum was worried she wouldn’t get pregnant’, he explained. ‘Mum was out with Phillipa one night – and Phillipa suggested the other option.

[Andrew] was supposed to help Phillipa have a baby’. She had his sample and she changed her mind and offered it to Mum instead.

JJ was quick to add that their parents, Cara (Sara West) and Remi (Naomi Rukavina) never knew Andrew, who agreed to the situation if he remained anonymous.

‘Mum got pregnant,’ he continued. ‘Ma assumed it was from the US donor. Mum let her believe it.’

Dex was blown away by the discovery and was quick to state that this could blow their entire family apart if word gets out.

The question is: will JJ be able to stay away from Andew? Or is it only a matter of time before this secret is revealed?
