Home and Away's Irene Roberts makes a risky move after shock arrest

Things heat up in the Dana story.

Home and Away's Irene Roberts makes a risky decision on Australian screens next week following her shock arrest.

In dramatic scenes that aired in Australia at the end of last week, Irene and Harper were both arrested and forced to spend the night behind bars for harbouring fugitive Dana.

Dana is on the run from police after her ex-boyfriend framed her for a drugs charge.

Following Irene and Harper's arrest (via TV Week), Dana and John try to make things right with resident cop Cash Newman but he is nowhere to be found. After getting suspended for not apprehending Dana when he caught Harper hiding her at Irene's house, Cash takes a sudden leave of absence.

Things haven't been easy for Cash lately either, after exposing corrupt cop DS Madden.

Cash eventually shows up at the police station after several frantic phone calls from John, only to tell Irene that he can't do anything while he's suspended.

The next day, Irene and Harper are released but are strongly advised to get lawyers ahead of their court date. Harper is quick to find counsel, but Irene dismisses the magistrate's advice.

Could Irene's decision see things take a dark turn for the Summer Bay stalwart?
