Home and Away confirms Lyrik crisis after Kirby Aramoana quits the band
The group are blocked from performing Kirby's songs.
Home and Away's Justin Morgan receives devastating news about Lyrik on UK screens next week.
The band's manager realises that Lyrik may be over following Kirby Aramoana's decision to quit the band and pursue a solo career.
In next week's episodes on Channel 5, Justin panics when he learns that Kirby's new manager will announce her solo career imminently.
Justin fears the consequences for Lyrik, worried that the current buzz surrounding the band will fizzle out once everyone knows that Kirby is no longer a member.
Needing more time to plan Lyrik's next move, Justin asks Kirby's manager Forrest Duke to delay Kirby's big announcement.
Forrest refuses as he needs to do what's best for Kirby. However, when Justin approaches Kirby separately and explains the problem, she steps in and convinces Forrest to change his mind.
Justin is relieved when Forrest confirms that the announcement will be postponed. Unfortunately, Forrest is clearly unhappy with being undermined, so he drops a new bombshell which is even worse for Lyrik.
Forrest warns that Kirby's new representatives are withholding all copyright permissions, so Lyrik won't be able to perform any of the songs that Kirby composed on.
Justin breaks the bad news to Lyrik that they may not be able to continue playing the songs from their album, which has only just been released.
This plunges the group's entire future into jeopardy, as they'll either have to cancel their future gigs or only play covers for the foreseeable future. What will Justin and Lyrik decide?
