Former Home and Away star Sam Frost updates fans over motherhood
"I have actually surprised myself."
Former Home and Away star Sam Frost has shared an update following the birth of her son.
The actress opened up about welcoming baby Ted in March with her fiancé Jordie Hansen after what she described as a "difficult" pregnancy.
"To be honest, I have actually surprised myself," she told Confidential on Nova radio on Sunday.
"I found pregnancy really difficult and I thought that would be perhaps a reflection on what is going to happen coming up, but to be honest I am actually a little more relaxed than I thought."
Frost called Ted a "dream baby" and revealed she often performs for him.
"He is honestly a dream baby, he is so happy, he is so chilled, he laughs all the time and thinks I am the greatest person in life," she said.
"He loves my performances, I perform to him constantly and he thinks it is great."
Last year, the soap star shared a candid blog post detailing the challenges posed by her pregnancy.
Frost went through a particularly hard first trimester, explaining that pregnancy took a toll on her mental and physical health and she was bedridden for two months.
"I feel so far from the person I was. Before pregnancy I was fit, healthy, full of energy, keen for adventures, financially stable and always giggling my head off," she wrote.
"Now, all I can stomach is Vegemite toast. I sleep literally the entire day, I only get up to wee (frequently) and throw up."
Best known for playing Jasmine Delaney on Home and Away, Frost also appeared on season 2 of The Bachelor and season 1 of The Bachelorette Australia.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
