Home and Away's Xander Delaney sparks concern with Kate friendship

 Is she becoming too reliant on him?

Xander's relationship with his late colleague Jamie's widow Kate begins to worry Mackenzie in forthcoming Home and Away scenes.

Airing on Channel 5 and 5STAR in the UK, they'll see Kate visiting the eatery Salt to catch up with Xander as she seeks support from someone who knew her husband well.

Keen to help in any way he can, the paramedic (who was brutally attacked by the men who killed Jamie) offers for her to stay at his place for the night, but soon enough the tears are flowing when the pair recount memorable moments involving Jamie.

The next day, Kate invites Xander to attend a football match with her and son Timothy.

Upon hearing this, an inquisitive Mackenzie suggests it's time to swallow an awkward truth: Kate seems to be getting a little too reliant on him.

Xander decides to pull back on further encounters with Kate's family, yet she meets him once again at Salt for a shoulder to lean on.

Mackenzie's continued well-intentioned advice about getting Kate to give him space is later poorly received, as Xander gets fired up, insisting that it's none of her business and she should keep her nose out of it.

Will Mackenzie listen?
