Hollyoaks' Prince McQueen faces a shock accusation in Rayne story

He finds himself under fire from the influencer.

Hollyoaks' Prince McQueen will be faced with a shocking accusation in upcoming scenes, as he becomes more involved in housemate Rayne Royce's life.

Influencer Rayne has recently been spinning a web of lies, having become jealous over boyfriend Romeo Nightingale's connection with Peri Lomax following the recent death of his sister, and Peri's fiancée, Juliet.

In scenes airing next week, a new video post from Rayne leaves Romeo wondering what's real and what's just for content when it comes to his girlfriend's emotions.

Prince, wanting to make life easier for his best mate, tries to encourage Peri and Rayne to call a truce for Romeo's sake.

But it looks like peace won't be returning anytime soon, as when Peri goes to unfollow Rayne on social media, she's shocked to see a massive overnight increase in the number of followers Rayne has.

When Peri asks where they all came from, Rayne declares that it's simply a result of her being popular. However, Rayne's left red-faced when Prince reads a notification on her phone which reveals that Rayne actually bought her new followers.

Rayne later overhears Peri asking Prince if he can find out why Romeo is ghosting her...

Peri asks Prince to keep helping her find out more about Rayne and he shares his concerns over her weird behaviour, pleading with her to back off for Romeo’s sake.

In the meantime, Romeo comforts Rayne on the anniversary of Brent’s death.

After Peri's discovery that Rayne's live stream about her former boyfriend's suicide doesn't quite add up, she and Prince decide to team up to catch Rayne out, with Peri vowing to protect Juliet's brother.

Later on, the house of 20-somethings roll in during the early hours from their party to find Rayne distraught.

A bleary-eyed Prince emerges to find himself in a house conference, where he is accused of trying it on with Rayne. As Prince has no memory of the night, he is unable to defend himself.

Rayne refuses to involve the police in the matter, but Romeo is quick to throw Prince out.

Is this all part of Rayne's plan?

While Rayne has proven herself to be a master manipulator since arriving in the village, one person who has stuck by her is best friend Lacey Lloyd. Star Annabelle Davis, who joined the soap as Lacey earlier this year, has explained just why her character is so willing to have Rayne's back, despite her lies.

"They've grown up together, family friends, so Rayne is more like a sister to Lacey," she said. "It's the unconditional love for someone that helps you always see the good in them.

"However, Lacey is very aware Rayne needs help, and of the damage she is inflicting on others. Rather than cut her out, she wants to help her, fix her."
