Home and Away death confirmed in Mackenzie Booth storyline

 Mac receives an upsetting call.

Home and Away airs emotional scenes for Mackenzie Booth on UK screens next week as she receives the news that she has been dreading.

Mackenzie is devastated when she learns that her ex-partner Gabe Miller has sadly passed away, just a couple of months after his discovery that his cancer had returned.

During Gabe's brief time in Summer Bay, he reconnected with Mackenzie and apologised for abruptly ending their relationship years prior.

Sadly, after his diagnosis, Gabe feared that he would ultimately become a burden to Mackenzie and he walked out on her for a second time. Rather than talking things through, he left a note behind to explain his decision and insisted he was doing the right thing for her.

In scenes airing on Friday, June 16 on Channel 5, Mackenzie finally has some company again as she bonds with her new housemate Mali Hudson.

Mackenzie and Mali find a shared connection over both of their families living so far away. Mackenzie recently waved goodbye to her brother Dean Thompson when he decided to move to Far North Queensland. Mali, meanwhile, is separated from his own family, who live up the coast in Mantaray Point.

Mali celebrates a successful revamp of the surfboard shop, which was recently handed over to him by Dean. He renames the business as Mantaray Boards, as a nod to his hometown.

Mackenzie supports Mali over his business ambitions, but she's soon distracted by the devastating call confirming that Gabe has died.

The tables turn as Mali steps up to support Mackenzie through this difficult time. How will she cope with the loss of the man she loved?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
