Former Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks updates fans on pregnancy

 "I've had a really nice pregnancy."

Hollyoaks actress Jazmine Franks has spoken candidly about her experience being pregnant, revealing that she feels she has had it a lot 'easier' than other people.

Currently expecting her and partner Danny Potter's first child, the former Esther Bloom actress spoke to Manchester Evening News while on their Tenerife 'babymoon'.

"Dare I say I'm really enjoying pregnancy," she admitted. "I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant. I'm not going to lie to you, it's been pretty... I don't want to say easy, but I just expected it to be a lot more difficult.

"I've had a really nice pregnancy, really low-risk which I'm so thankful for," Franks added. "My ankles have swollen up to the size of golf balls which is probably the biggest issue I've had so far. They look bizarre."

Despite the physicality of pregnancy not bothering her too much, the TV star did concede that the prospect of welcoming a little one is "slightly overwhelming".

"I don't know what to expect. Obviously I don't have children so I'm nervous that I'm now responsible for another human, which is mad because I've only ever been responsible for my dog. It's very, very exciting."

Something that's really helped her along the path to motherhood is a close friendship with fellow first-time mum and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter.

"I've been getting lots of tips and hints from Jorgie because she's just had Forest. I'm really excited to be having a baby and we can be mums together. I feel it's a milestone we've reached together which is really nice," she shared. "We had all our party days and now we're having our mums' days which is weird."
