"She's taken a wrecking ball to my concept of love. Amongst the wreckage whipped out a foldable chair, sat down, and poured herself a drink. I'm happy and weak, unapologetically vulnerable. I'm crying a lot," Franklin began the caption.

"Our little bebop. The funk princess. The height of beauty, besides her mother. What a super mega warrior woman. Natural birth.

"Broke her own waters with her bare hands when things weren't moving along fast enough, she showed me the true meaning of discomfort and the ultimate statement of love. The wildest shit I have ever seen in my life."

Franklin also took the time to thank the midwives and his loved ones for all their support, before adding: "Fatherly tip #1: If ever feel like you need more Tupperware, have a baby. You end up with a mountain of it."

Several Home and Away stars congratulated Franklin in the comment section, including Marilyn Chambers actress Emily Symons, who wrote: "Congratulations darling, how wonderful. She is absolutely beautiful."

Ada Nicodemou, who plays Leah Patterson, added: "The best news Tim, congratulations and she is just perfect."

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
