Home and Away's Dean Thompson and Ziggy Astoni leave Summer Bay in emotional final scenes
The popular characters bow out.
Home and Away airs Dean Thompson and Ziggy Astoni's final scenes on UK screens next week.
The fan favourite couple made their departure on Australian screens in early March, but have remained on air in the UK due to Channel 5's transmission gap.
Upcoming scenes see Dean receive the surprising news that his old flame Amber Simmons has chosen to move to Far North Queensland with their young son Jai.
The revelation hits Dean hard, as he figures out that he'll now be a 21-hour drive away from his son.
Dean and Ziggy, who recently welcomed the arrival of their baby daughter Izzy, wonder how they'll keep their family together.
In the end, it's Ziggy who suggests that they should make the move to Queensland too.
Ziggy points out that there isn't much keeping them in Summer Bay, so it make sense for them to build a new life together where Dean is a father to both of his kids.
Touched that Ziggy wants to make this big move for his sake, Dean agrees that they're heading to Queensland.
Dean later has second thoughts when his sister Mackenzie Booth breaks down over her boyfriend Gabe Miller's cancer diagnosis.
Mac, who's unaware of her brother's plans to leave, quickly turns to Dean for comfort. Dean then questions how he can make the move when Mac needs him most.
Ziggy intervenes by telling Mac about the planned move and how Dean is having second thoughts because of Gabe's illness. She hopes that Mac will give her blessing for Dean to make the move after all.
Mac responds just as Ziggy had expected, encouraging Dean to go away and be a father to Jai.
Dean is convinced when Mac points out that she can cope without him, while Jai can't.
In their final moments in the Bay, Dean and Ziggy take a trip down memory lane as they reminisce over their time together.
Friends and family then gather to say their goodbyes as Dean and Ziggy drive off to Queensland together.
Patrick O'Connor and Sophie Dillman, who played Dean and Ziggy, filmed their final scenes for the show late last year.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
