Home and Away airs emotional scenes for Bree Cameron on UK screens next week as she feels forced to keep her distance from Remi Carter.

Bree stops spending time with Remi as she struggles with how to break the news that she's pregnant.

In upcoming scenes on Channel 5, Bree puts on a brave face and tries to seem as happy as possible following the end of her ordeal with her abusive husband Jacob.

Wanting to respect Bree's boundaries, Remi focuses on his commitments to Lyrik rather than putting any pressure on her to proceed with their relationship.

When the atmosphere between them grows awkward, Remi can't shake the feeling that Bree is hiding something.

Remi asks Bree whether he has done anything wrong, but she has no answers for him.

Viewers then discover that Bree is pregnant, but she doesn't know whether the father is Remi or Jacob.

Bree fears telling Remi about the pregnancy, knowing that she'd also have to explain that she was forced to sleep with Jacob after he kidnapped her.

While this was non-consensual and Bree has nothing to feel guilty about, she fears that Remi won't understand.

Bree sees only one solution, which is to cut Remi out of her life completely. Has any hope for the pair's future now been destroyed?

The big story forms part of the build-up to a blockbuster fortnight coming up for Home and Away on UK screens in May.

As the long-running soap hits its milestone 8,000th episode, Bree's story will take centre stage alongside Tane Parata and Felicity Newman's second wedding, danger for Xander Delaney and a shock arrest plot for Justin Morgan.
