Hollyoaks' Peri Lomax risks her job as emotional Juliet story continues

She causes a stir at the hospital.

Peri Lomax will risk her job as Juliet's cancer story continues in Hollyoaks.

Viewers will know that the young couple are only recently back in the village after spending a few weeks in Birmingham so Juliet could continue her cancer treatment.

Even though they are back home, Peri's new regimen includes taking extra precautions so Juliet doesn't risk getting ill. In upcoming scenes, Juliet will struggle with having to be so isolated.

Peri is determined for Juliet to have some fun so she comes up with a way for Juliet to be involved in Romeo and Rayne's star-studded Eurovision party. Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse when Juliet has to be hospitalised.

Peri is left blaming herself when she's told that Juliet has contracted norovirus, a severe stomach ailment that can cause gastroenteritis if not treated properly.

The nurse thinks she failed her professional duties and offers her resignation, yet her bosses refuse to fire her. Peri is so frustrated that she causes a scene in the hospital that could actually have consequences.

Following the outburst, Peri runs into Juliet's brother Romeo outside the hospital and confides in him about how worried she is about Juliet's outlook.

The two meet up again later where Romeo opens up about his own fears about potentially losing his sister to this horrible disease.

Peri realises she cannot promise anything about Juliet's future but she wants them to make the effort to live in the moment for Juliet's sake.

These scenes will air in Hollyoaks next week.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
