Neighbourswill start filming again in just a few weeks and now Alan Fletcher has promised fans the return of the soap will ‘start with a bang’.
Last year the long-running Australian series was axed by Channel 5, with the broadcaster explaining it wanted to make more ‘original UK drama’.
However, fans were not happy, and did everything they could to save the show, launching campaigns and petitions, which eventually saw Amazon step in to save the day.
This week it was announced that, after a few months off, cameras would start rolling again next month.
Now Alan, who has played Karl Kennedy since 1994, has teased what fans can expect when new episodes arrive.
‘I think will be the Neighbours people know and love,’ he said while appearing on This Morning on Friday with his co-star April Rose Pengilly, who plays Chloe Brennan.
‘That is for certain. But for stories know will kick it off with a big one,’ he added.
