Home and Away to air aftermath of shock death storyline
Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Home and Away's Bree Cameron and Remi Carter face an uncertain future on UK screens next week, as the shock death of Jacob has major consequences.
Bree recently started a relationship with Remi after seeking help and support from him over how to escape from her abusive husband Jacob.
This week's scenes on Channel 5 see Bree accidentally kill Jacob in self-defence following his sinister kidnap plan.
While Remi is relieved that Bree's ordeal is finally over, he soon fears that their own relationship may never be the same when she starts pulling away from him.
Next week, Bree confides in Rose Delaney after giving her police statement about Jacob's death.
Despite the horrific circumstances, Bree says that she feels guilty for killing Jacob. She also wonders how she'll face Remi after sleeping with Jacob when they were hiding out together.
Rose points out that the sex was not consensual as Bree was being held against her will by Jacob. Bree still isn't sure whether Remi will see it this way, despite his previous support.
Bree starts to think that it might be best to leave Remi at arm's length for a while, but he struggles with being left out in the cold.
Remi tries to speak to Rose about what's going on, but she's unable to help as she can't breach Bree's right to confidentiality. Rose's only advice is that Remi should be patient.
When Bree later speaks with Remi, she admits that she's struggling to trust her previous feelings for him. She now wonders whether their romantic connection only developed because of the frightening situation with Jacob.
Remi is adamant that their love is real, but Bree isn't so sure and still needs space to work things out.
Bree finds herself with nowhere to stay, as she doesn't want to return to the motel where Jacob kidnapped her.
Rose steps in and offers Bree the spare room at the pier apartment, giving her a much-needed lifeline as she tries to decide what the future holds.
Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 14 at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
