Home and Away star James Stewart pays sweet tribute to on-screen daughter

"She's giving this story the turmoil it needs."

Home and Away star James Stewart has paid a sweet tribute to his on-screen daughter Annabel Wolfe.

Australian viewers have already been introduced to Annabel as the new Ava Gilbert in disturbing scenes where her obsession with Theo leads to her father Justin Morgan's dramatic arrest.

Wolfe took over the role from Grace Thomas and Alice Roberts, who previously played the troubled character in a lengthy stint from 2016 to 2020.

James Stewart, who plays Justin, has since paid tribute to the new Home and Away cast addition, especially in light of the dramatic scenes she has debuted in.

"So stoked to have @annabelwolfe playing my daughter… she's an incredible young actor with such a bright future ahead of her," he wrote.

"She's kind, intelligent, always listening and learning -

such a great energy on set and in our cast.

She's giving this story the turmoil it needs and proving to be a bit of a handful

for Justin. Garrrgghhh… dads and their daughters eh'?"

This will be Annabel Wolfe's breakout role, after previously appearing in guest

or supporting appearances in the Aussie comedy Diary of an Uber Driver and

Vikings star Travis Fimmel's murder mystery Black Snow.

Her dramatic arrival as Ava will air soon in the UK, as the teen lures Theo to

a secret meeting under the guise that she's being held against her will.

Justin turns up instead and when he tries to take his revenge,

Cash Newman and Rose Delaney are forced to step in and arrest him.

These scenes will air from Monday, May 15 in the UK.
