Home and Away reveals five huge new storylines ahead of 8,000th episode

Including a wedding, an engagement and a shock attack.

Home and Away has released a dramatic new trailer showcasing an action-packed time ahead in Summer Bay.

The show has announced that "two blockbuster weeks of event storylines" will air, coinciding with the milestone 8,000th episode.

Fans in Australia will see the big episodes over the next two weeks, while UK fans will get to enjoy all the drama from Monday, May 15.

The 8,000th episode itself will see fan favourites Tane Parata and Felicity Newman make their second attempt at heading down the aisle. Their first ceremony was cancelled after Felicity was involved in a car crash while making her way there.

With help from Felicity's brother Cash, romantic Tane organises an intimate and traditional Māori wedding. Felicity surprises Tane when she recites her wedding vows in te reo Māori.

Meanwhile, Justin Morgan is told that he may be facing prison time for assaulting a man that he mistakenly thought was harming his daughter Ava Gilbert.

Xander Delaney's life hangs in the balance after he and a paramedic colleague are ambushed by bat-wielding attackers who are looking for drugs. Will he survive?

Elsewhere in the Bay, after weeks of secrecy, Bree Cameron confides in her on-off lover Remi Carter by revealing that she's pregnant – and she doesn't know whether the father is him or her abusive husband Jacob, who was recently killed.

Finally, after a boozy time celebrating Felicity and Tane's wedding, Cash wakes up and is shocked to find that his engagement ring ended up on Eden's finger.

Panicking and struggling with a patchy memory, Cash tries to retrace the events of the night and work out how he managed to make such a big commitment.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
