Former Home and Away star Sam Frost welcomes first child

And she's revealed his sweet name.

Congratulations are in order for former Home and Away star Sam Frost, who has confirmed she has welcomed her first child and revealed his sweet name.

The star, who played Jasmine Delaney on the Australian soap, confirmed back in September that she was expecting a baby boy with fiancé Jordie Hansen.

The couple have now shared that the baby was born yesterday (March 7) with a sweet black-and-white picture of the newborn on Instagram.

"This is Ted," they confirmed. "Theodore Paul Frost-Hansen. There’s no words to describe how much we love you 07/03/2023".

Speaking when she announced her pregnancy last year, Sam said: "There is a tiny human coming soon… everyone act surprised when he inevitably inherits his parents odd sense of humour."

She continued: "We don’t take ourselves or life too seriously, and we’re hoping to teach our tiny one the same values we share… the importance of being unapologetically yourself, always finding the fun and humour in all the small things, and that being kind, loving and empathetic is a superpower.

"Thank you to all our beautiful friends and family who have supported us during this time, you’re all excellent secret keepers. We are extremely excited and grateful for our tiny miracle.. your mum & dad love you so much already xxxx."

The star later spoke about her struggles during the pregnancy's first trimester, explaining at the time that it was "incredibly difficult for me, mentally and physically".

Last year, Sam opened up about her decision to leave Home and Away, explaining that she wanted to look after her own health.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7plus.
